About The Author

A Portland, Jamaica native, Stephannie Burke has carried a deep passion for Christian youth development since her early teenage years. By age 14, she was already volunteering at Children's Church and Vacation Bible School (VBS), channeling her love for administration and creativity into nurturing the faith of her peers. That early experience left a lasting imprint, and one she has never stopped drawing from.

Driven by personal memories of how formative those programs were and a desire to give other children the same foundation, Stephannie brought a long-held vision to life in 2025: "Follow Di Leada", a VBS kit written with Jamaican culture at its heart. With the help of veteran author, Mrs. Paula Plummer of Plummwise UnlimitED, what began as a resource to support her home church's summer program quickly found a much wider audience. Churches across Jamaica, many of whom had long relied on US-produced kits, welcomed a resource that finally felt like it was made for them. "Follow Di Leada" has since been adopted by churches both nationally and internationally.

Stephannie's mission is simple and enduring: to equip churches of every size and location with the tools they need to plan and execute VBS with excellence, and in doing so, strengthen the faith of the next generation.

In her professional life, Stephannie serves as a private pensions regulator and data scientist. She is also an active member of her church's music and finance ministries. In all things, she is guided by the conviction that every effort must be done to the honor and glory of the Lord.
